Perhaps the most profound concept is not a function but a sense of
ownership. As you saw in the walkthrough, when I used the Autosum wizard for
the third time, the wizard took the Total vertically instead of horizontally
as we thought it would as it had done the first two times. You caught it
because I directed you to pay attention to what the Autosum wizard. Often,
users – myself included – are accostomed to simply click [Next] or [Ok] while
not reading the dialog box to get the wizard to move on to do what we expect
the wizard to do for us. If I simply pressed [Enter] to accept how the wizard
took the total, who is responsible? |
